The MAXUM (TM) Deadbolt offers superior deadbolt
protection and is specifically designed to be more convenient
for its users. Originating from the Medeco D-11
Deadbolt, the MAXUM (TM) has added features which make it more
universal, easier to install, and even more resistant
to physical attack. The MAXUM (TM) provides maximum
protection with anti-drilling and anti-prying
features and includes the Medeco double locking high security cylinder
for pick resistance.
The MAXUM (TM) is offered in three key functions:
1) single cylinder, 2) double cylinder, and 3) double cylinder with
the captive thumbtum key. Additional options
include an inside blank, an outside blank, and an assembly for thick
door applications.
An optional feature of the MAXUM (TM) double
cylinder captive deadbolt is the key thumbturn that converts the inside
cylinder to a thumbtum for safety exit when the
facility is occupied. A quick conversion returns the MAXUM to
its double cylinder mode and guards against access
